Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Pink films (pinku eiga) are Japan's B-movie tradition where directors often cut their teeth; Taniguchi represents a new wave treating the form as legitimate artistic canvas rather than pure exploitation.
The title's 'Slag' (slang for promiscuous woman) and 'Stealer' deliberately echo classic Westerns, framing domestic betrayal as a gunslinger showdown with competing narratives instead of bullets.
