Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
The Jazz originated in New Orleans in 1974—Utah kept the name despite zero jazz culture, becoming sports' most geographic absurdity.
This dropped during the team's 50th anniversary season, when the Jazz were actively tanking—making the nostalgia hit different.

No more losing on purpose! No more cutting the legs out from under our own players at the trade deadline! Let’s push this year and see how good we can be. Grow through opposition, grit, and perseverance. No more half-hearted tanking at the end of the year. The fans deserve better, the players deserve better.

Nice to see the jazz didn’t forget about this series. Heard nothing after spring of 2024 came and passed with no news of the doc. Let’s see if August 2024 works out. Lol
