The Whalum family represents three generations of Memphis-trained musicians, with Kirk's grandfather Hugh 'Peanuts' appearing alongside his grandsons Kenneth III and Kyle.
This was George Duke's final filmed gospel performance before his death in 2013; his synth solo on 'The Prayer' was entirely improvised.
