Four siblings—Tristan, Katinka, Kirk, and Petra—are happily settled with Miss Nelly and Brian on Martinsvej, eager for their best Christmas yet. Their joy is shattered when a municipal officer arrives with the children’s grandparents, who demand custody after discovering the mother’s disappearance. Shocked and heartbroken, the kids long to stay with Miss Nelly and Brian, the only family that truly feels like home. Bound by law and threatened with removal, they devise a daring plan to fight back and keep their newfound life together.

Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This is technically a sequel to 2021's 'Børnene fra Sølvgade,' though it stands alone. Mehdi Avaz also directed Netflix's 'Rescue Mission.'
The film critiques Denmark's rigid foster care bureaucracy — a system famously praised internationally yet frustratingly impersonal at street level.
