Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
The title translates to 'In Case I Don't Win the Palme d'Or'—Cohen's actual Cannes anxiety made literal. The film premiered at Cannes in the Directors' Fortnight, not exactly winning that Palme.
Shot in Les Lilas, a working-class Paris suburb rarely seen in glossy French cinema. Cohen grew up there and insisted on location authenticity over postcard Paris.
