Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This was one of only two films ever released by the 'Laurel and Hardy Feature Productions' company, formed specifically to exploit the duo's likeness rights.
The 1999 release marked exactly 70 years since Laurel & Hardy's first sound film, making this less tribute and more tomb robbery. F. Murray Abraham won his Oscar for Amadeus fifteen years earlier.
