Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Straub-Huillet were cinema's most notorious couple, living together for decades while refusing to be photographed touching. Their entire practice was anti-commercial to the point of comedy.
Blank later made Pharos of Chaos, one of the greatest documentaries about an impossible actor—perhaps he learned something here about watching difficult artists be difficult.
