Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Made during the Zhivkov era, this was one of the rare Bulgarian films exported to Western festivals, smuggled out partly through French cultural connections.
Director Ivan Nitchev originally wanted the entire film in one continuous tracking shot through the theatre wagon; budget killed the dream but the roaming camera remains.
