Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Megan Follows was 25 playing 14 — still closer than most Hollywood Juliets. Cimolino later became Stratford's Artistic Director, making this a fascinating artifact of his acting origins.
This 1993 broadcast arrived at peak 'Anne of Green Gables' nostalgia, deliberately capitalizing on Follows' wholesome image to subvert expectations with Shakespeare's horniest, most doomed teenagers.
