Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This 2017 concert marked FFXIV's full redemption arc, transforming from disastrous 2010 launch to symphony-worthy phenomenon. The standing ovation for Soken wasn't just for music—it was for survival.
The 'Eorzean Symphony' name deliberately echoes Distant Worlds, but producer Naoki Yoshida insisted on distinct branding to honor FFXIV's unique identity separate from mainline numbered entries.
