Madhav Vaze (1939-2025) was an Indian theater artist, director, and actor IMDb who profoundly shaped Marathi theater. He began his career as a child actor in the acclaimed film Shyamchi Aai (1953), which won the President's Award. He served as an English lecturer at Nowrosjee Wadia College in Pune Wikipedia, retiring as a professor. Vaze founded the experimental theater group Jagar in the 1980s and directed numerous productions, including a Marathi adaptation of Hamlet in 2013. He appeared in films like 3 Idiots (2009) and Dear Zindagi , with director Aamir Khan expressing admiration for his work. Vaze passed away in Pune on May 7, 2025, at age 85
