Bacha Caravedo was born in Lima on November 8, 1975, and graduated with a degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Lima. A scholarship from the Latin Union gave her the opportunity to participate in the editing workshop at the École Nationale Supérieure des Métiers de l’image et du Son (Fémis) in Paris, France. Upon returning to Peru, she began writing film criticism for the newspaper Correo and developed an interest in advertising production, which she then pursued full-time.
In 2007, while studying for a Master's degree in Screenwriting in Valencia thanks to a scholarship from the Foundation for Audiovisual Research (FIA), she conceived the screenplay for "Perro guardián" (Watchdog). The following year, together with her colleague Daniel Higashionna, she founded the production company Señor Z.
