LatestClover reaches the Abyss Gate in the depths of Achromatic Darkness, but can they succeed in closing it?
Not every party treats you like a hero—especially when you’re a lowly red mage like Yuke. So, after years of constant ridicule by his A-rank party members, he ditches them. Searching for a new party, he reunites with former students Marina, Silk, and Rain, and joins their group. But on a quest to conquer the world’s greatest dungeon, they become entangled in chaos that threatens the world.
Writing
Smart subversion of RPG class hierarchies—red mage rights!

Mineta's deadpan delivery sells Yuke's quiet competence.
Production
Dungeon designs get genuinely creative past episode 6.
Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
The 'red mage' class originates from Final Fantasy, traditionally jacks-of-all-trades dismissed by min-maxers—this series is basically a love letter to them.
The light novel author worked in game development and based Yuke's workplace trauma on actual crunch culture stories from the industry.

This is one of the Adventurer Party stories that I had a lot of fun reading exactly because there was livestream system in guilds for parties to show off and rank up in this series. I hope I can enjoy the anime too 👏
