Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
The original Hathaway's Flash novels were written by Tomino in 1989 but deemed too dark to animate until now—he's since disowned this interpretation as 'too beautiful.'
The Xi Gundam's design deliberately echoes the RX-78-2 that Hathaway's father piloted, visualizing how he's trapped by a legacy he never chose.
